Kus Qüeöt Vrët (/kus/ /q˔o˞t/ [corrupt] [pocket]) is a temperate Large Town located in the Gde̜ngwatyod Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Kus Qüeöt Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Kus Qüeöt Vrët was founded by Thugguhz Thiestresh, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Kus Qüeöt Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 0°C (32°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 25°C (77°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold -26°C (-14°F). Kus Qüeöt Vrët receives an average of 247 cm/y (97 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Kus Qüeöt Vrët covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1262 m (4140 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kus Qüeöt Vrët was founded durring the early 12th century in spring of the year 1136, by Thugguhz Thiestresh. The establishment of Kus Qüeöt Vrët was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Kus Qüeöt Vrët's construction back out of the project. Thugguhz Thiestresh pushed on reguardles, and Kus Qüeöt Vrët was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Kus Qüeöt Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kus Qüeöt Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Kus Qüeöt Vrët is buildings are arranged within a network of broad cobblestone streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. Astonishigly, the robustly designed timber walls are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Kus Qüeöt Vrët has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Kus Qüeöt Vrët ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Likely due to this, Kus Qüeöt Vrët is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to have homes. One cannot help but wonder what Kus Qüeöt Vrët was like during the glorydays.

Civic Infrastructure

Kus Qüeöt Vrët has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kus Qüeöt Vrët. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kus Qüeöt Vrët's parks.

Kus Qüeöt Vrët possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Large Town. Kus Qüeöt Vrët's grid is powered by a boiler and turbine based power plant.

Kus Qüeöt Vrët has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kus Qüeöt Vrët's natural decorations nor waterways.

Kus Qüeöt Vrët has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Kus Qüeöt Vrët has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Kus Qüeöt Vrët's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

In Kus Qüeöt Vrët sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.

The Polevik near Kus Qüeöt Vrët are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.
